Moonhawk, Warrior Spirit

I fight what feels like a daily battle, to remain calm and centered. I know this is a daily battle for most however, I suffer from depression and anxiety, which makes the battle a little more difficult to fight.

2012 brought hope to me, in the form of unimaginable family support as well as new blog friends whose words shifted something in me. Words which turned daily battles into exercises, something more bearable. And then, just as the universe always does, I received a test. A battle of immense proportions.

Sunday I posted a poem written by my father for a photograph I took. That night my papa was rushed to the emergency room and put into ICU, where he remains in critical condition. My father is the most remarkable person I have ever met. He is a gifted artist, writer, musician, humanitarian and one of my spirit guides.

I am in this battle, one like I have never had to fight before and so is he. He is scared as am I. But we have each other, we have our love, we have our family. We are marching into the fields, Moonhawk and SweetPea, warrior spirits. Our flags are flying, our drums are echoing and our song is loud and we will prevail.

  2. Goodness! If it were possible to transfer a calm spirit to you I would close my eyes and practice sending you a part of mine! As a matter of fact, I will do so anyway. Who am I to say what energy can and can not do?

And as I glance across your page, I see the word 'energy' all over it! So be it!
