For Real

Ok, so the majority of this week sucked. No if, ands or buts about it. It was pretty darn awful. Early Easter morning the Badger woke up sick and throwing up. He was so out of it he didn't know which Easter basket was his and just started pulling things out. He then fell asleep. Easter is when we usually do our family picture, all dressed up and so cutesy, didn't happen this year. Re-do. We found out he had scarlet fever which then began to make its way though our family, I got it, the Owl got it. Today we are on the mend, most are back to normal.

lows
missing Easter celebrations
having to calm a 6 year old through blood work 3 times
being sick, so sick and not leaving the bed
not sleeping
getting addicted to instagram

highs
D being able to miss work for a couple of days while we recover
snuggle time
getting things cleaned and organized
cooler weather
a new soccer goal built
getting familiar with instagram
six new tomato plants purchased from young local farmer who is passionate about tomatoes

Glad to be ending this week on a happier and healthier note. Hope all is well in your woods. Have a terrific weekend!  Joining Monica at Ink & Chai

  1. Oh, no! I came down with Scarlet Fever several years ago and even my mild case was quite miserable. I can only imagine going through it as a family. So glad you're on the mend!

Glad you all are on the mend. This is when blogland is hard, because in real life I would be offering to drop off meals or hold a sick child for you!

    1. I know! I couldn't believe other people had it too around the same time. Apparently it is a form of the strep virus and if caught early is no biggie. But it was definitely scary and strange as I was not familiar at all with the sickness or it's symptoms.
