For real

"Life's not about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain"
                                                                                        Vivian Green

That's one of my all time favorite quotes, helps me remember so very much.

Storms
postpartum depression/anxieties creeping in
being sick again
no me time
massage appointment cancellation
insomnia
being hard on myself

Dances
attending our hometown art festival
D starting his quest for his master's degree
an email conversation allowing me to talk about things weighing heavy on my heart
the doors said conversation opened
working to accept myself
blankets on the clothesline (they smell so good)
Sunshine and a cool spring breeze
Sister biz breakthrough

Joining Monica at Ink & Chai for her brilliant Keeping it Real series

Wishing you all a healthy weekend xoxo

  4. Oh I love that quote too! I see it on bumper stickers around here, really need one of those! Booo to no me time and cancelled massages! And sorry to hear about ppd and insomnia. That combo is tough. Sending warm and healing vibes your way dear friend. But cheers to wonderful and needed conversations!! Hope that massage was rescheduled too. And can I tell you how much I love your blanket? (and your thrift finds yesterday, too).

Isn't the blanket fab? It was a thrift store find, found by D's grandma.

  5. Sending so much love and positive thoughts and energies your way. I know how overwhelming those anxieties can be. My 5 yo and I both woke up sick this morning. :(

Hope those conversations lifted some of those weights and made your heart a little lighter. Wow - gorgeous blanket!! Hope the weekend brings you more sunshine.

  6. I love thinking about all this in terms of storms and dances. All of your storms sound like things likely to feed and exacerbate one another, but your dances sound truly triumphant, so hopefully you're feeling balanced overall. Peace to you! xoxo
